Transport to Lednice
By car
Accessible from highway D2 Brno-Bratislava. Slip road on 41th kilometr, direction to Podivín. Lednice lies on road 422. Directly under the castle there is a parking place, two more parking places are a couple of metres from there.
You can reach Janohrad by car, but not Minaret. If you take D2, turn left to Janohrad. If you travel from Lednice, than take the direction to Podivín, than turn right to Janohrad. There is a parking place available as well.
By bus or train
The best place, from where you can quite easily get to Lednice, is Břeclav, where main train railways from Brno and Přerov lead to.
A bus to Lednice leaves a bus terminal in Břeclav about once an hour, on Saturdays two buses in the morning, two in the afternoon, on Sundays one bus in the morning, four in the afternoon and one in the evening, whereas the last bus leaves at 21.30.
In holiday season, you can use a train connection as well. From April to September a historical train for tourist operates at weekends four times a day, from half of May until June there is also a train connection twice a day from Tuesday to Friday.
A return journey can be planned likewise- buses and trains leave more or less equally in both directions.
Practical advice: a quite huge city transport station (MHD) directly in front of a train station is not a bus station you need. The bus station (buses, which go from Břeclav to other cities, not those, that operate in Břeclav!) is about 300 meters far from there, marked by tourist signposts.
